Over the course of November 13, 2017 to November 20, 2017, my knowledge grew greatly through the pursuit of my Independent Study and Mentorship experience. Over the next two complete weeks, I will be analyzing my interviews, starting with Mrs. Carol Nuckols and ending with Mrs. Melanie Newberry, and I will apply my analysis to end my search for a mentor, which will hopefully be by December 15 at the latest. Through conducting my research speech on November 16th, before heading out for thanksgiving break, I felt like I had a fuller understanding in both medicine and writing by talking through my analysis. While I did not hesitate to go over case notes and taking thorough annotations during the meetings themselves, being able to talk about what went on in the interviews allowed me to apply what was said to how it would tie into my original work project. After the previous week of conducting my last three interviews, Independent Study and mentorship was completely goal oriented and reachable by all current members. Over the next week, I will follow the progress of my original work.
