Mentor Bio

Professor Kelly Mitchell

Professor Kelly Mitchell is an adjunct professor at University of North Texas and her english class focuses primarily on primary research and forming insightful writing to draw conclusions. She focuses on how she teaches her students to write theses and how an objective point of view is vital to proper communication. She states that the amount of research for her class is remarkable and that many freshmen find it to be a heavy workload, even when coming from Advanced Placement classes. After the interview, I felt that her class might be a good place for me to start building my skills in research writing.

Dr. Azra Jagani

Dr. Jagani attended medical school in Pakistan. She views making her patients comfortable and earning their trust is one of the most important parts about being a pediatrician. When looking at resumes, she looks for evidence of interpersonal skills that can help employees relate to patients and their parents. Dr. Jagani conveyed that communication was the underlying basis of everything she was looking for, aside from grades and experience. Dealing with cultural differences in the workplace is one of her strong suits and she works very well with multiple cultures because she was able to learn and communicate in more than one language.
