Weekly Blog #4-9/17-9/24: Defining my Path

Over the course of the past week, from September 17th to September 24th, I have delved deeper into my Independent Study and Mentorship responsibilities with the beginning of the second six weeks. While my interview with Mrs. Rachael Bourque had to be rescheduled, we plan to meet during the upcoming week on September 26th rather than on the 19th as originally planned. However, in other aspects of my research I am on target. I have had two interviews so far, one phone interview and one in-person, and these experiences have allowed me to begin brainstorming ideas for my original work, which is approaching quickly. I also am ahead on my interview assessments, and have decided that I want to focus on the importance of communication in the business world, because I see it as a foundation to truly understanding its impact on the everyday public life. During this upcoming week, I plan to further apply this drive to finish my Topic Proposal and to begin constructing the survey I wish to use for my original work primary research during the semester. Overall, I feel that this past week has kept me on mark with my goal for my research, and that I am ready to dive straight into my original work.
