About ISM
The Independent Study and Mentorship Program is a program provided by the Frisco Independent School District that provided 11th and 12th-grade students with the opportunity to research and observe a career field of their choice under the guidance of a mentor. The course revolves around primary, real-world experience, and it allows students to become accustomed to the professional world. The course teaches professional speaking skills, interviewing skills, research skills, and requires students to create two projects in a professional environment, which are presented at the end of each semester. The goal of the program is to enable students to make educated decisions on what career to pursue in college and onward.
