Weekly Blog #27: 4/1-4/8

Over the course of the past week, from April 1st to April 8th, I completed the fleshed-out final product rough draft that I have been working on for the past few weeks. When I first started, I did not think that it would be more than 20 pages, given my experience last year with writing. However, looking at the full product, it is actually about double my anticipated amount. My biggest concern is that I have included too much detail, which may take away the impact of the product itself. I spent at least 2 hours a day over the past week just working on the product, and so far I am really pleased with the outcome. Moving into the next week, I plan to discuss my product with my mentor in order to make changes as quickly as possible and be prepared to move into the editing phase on my calendar. I plan to make all the changes to my speech that I need to for Final Presentation Night, and I also picked up my invitations, so I am excited to get those out to people. Overall, it is nice to be in the editing phase and I am happy with how my work is going so far. I plan to finish the year on a strong note.
