Weekly Blog #24: 3/4-3/18

Over the course of spring break and the week before spring break, from March 4th to March 18th, I made large strides in both the primary and secondary research for my Final Product. Over the course of the week before the break, I spent most of my time trying to format my outline for my learning proposal. I completed the outline of the product by the Friday before break, and it was five pages long. It consisted of multiple sections, such as format, purpose, cost analysis, culture, and more to show my understanding of the world of business learning. My favorite portions were the format section because regarding internal training versus external training, and how combining the two methods, I believe will lead to the best well-rounded program and provide the most benefit for a small company as well as the cost section because it allowed me to see tangible numbers and put the program into a real world lens for me. Over spring break, I had two phone interviews with connections of my mentor about Learning and Development and how my program would fit in a company model. Both interviews were successful, and I am excited to finish fleshing out the outline to allow for more program elaboration in the upcoming week.
